Tonight on Montana Evening Edition, July 29th
Bill Worf knew when he was asked to go to Washington. D.C. in the mid-60’s to write the rules for management of the nation’s first designated wilderness areas, that it was an important job. Worf went on to become Director for Wilderness, Recreation and Lands for region one of the forest service. After his retirement, he founded Wilderness Watch, an organization dedicated to making sure the government agencies that manage wilderness do a good job.
